CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION (BONIN - RYU - KORETZ) relative to establishing the City's position regarding H.R. 3484 (Lieu) and S. 2013 (Feinstein), and similar legislation, authorizing the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to carry out enhanced-use lease agreements for veterans housing and services at the VA's West Los Angeles (WLA) Campus.

 

Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR:

 

RESOLVE that the City of Los Angeles include in its 2015-16 Federal Legislative Program SUPPORT for legislation authorizing the VA to carry out enhanced-use lease agreements for veterans housing and services at the WLA Campus, specifically H.R. 3484 (Lieu) and S. 2013 (Feinstein), IF AMENDED to authorize the VA to allow for the construction and operation of a Metro subway stop on the WLA VA property.
