CONSIDERATION OF MOTION (WESSON - BUSCAINO) relative to rescinding the Council action of September 23, 2014, to assert jurisdiction pursuant to Charter Section 245 regarding property on Bulwer Drive from Woodstock Drive to 750 feet west of Woodstock Drive.

 

Recommendation for Council action:

 

RESCIND the Council action of September 23, 2014, to assert jurisdiction pursuant to Charter Section 245 over, and to veto, the September 15, 2014 Board of Public Works action to approve a Class B Permit for voluntary non-standard improvements on Bulwer Drive from Woodstock Drive to 750 feet west of Woodstock Drive.

CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION (PRICE - PARKS - WESSON - CEDILLO) relative to the City's position to support the designation of the South Los Angles Transit Empowerment Zone (SLATE-Z).

 

Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR:

 

RESOLVE to formally express support for the proposed SLATE-Z Promise Zone designation; and, urge the Obama Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to support the SLATE-Z application.
