MOTION (WESSON - PRICE) relative to funding for the efforts of Mothers in Action for the 2017-18 Taste of Soul event.

 

Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR:

 

  1. TRANSFER and APPROPRIATE $80,000 in the Arts and Cultural Facilities Services Trust Fund to the Cultural, Art and City Events line item in the General City Purposes Fund No. 100/56 for the efforts of Mothers in Action for the 2017-18 Taste of Soul event, inasmuch as these funds reverted to the Trust Fund before they were encumbered at the close of the last fiscal year.

  2. DIRECT the City Clerk to prepare the necessary document(s) or agreements(s) with Mothers in Action, or any other agency or organization, as appropriate, in the above amount, for the above purpose, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form, if needed; and that the Council member of the Tenth District be authorized to execute any such documents on behalf of the City, as may be needed.

  3. AUTHORIZE the City Clerk to make any corrections, clarifications or revisions to the above fund transfer instructions, including any new instructions, in order to effectuate the intent of this Motion.
