PUBLIC WORKS AND GANG REDUCTION COMMITTEE REPORT relative to funding from, and a contract with, the Los Angeles Dodgers for City services that may be required to host the 2020 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and related events.

 

Recommendations for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Cedillo - Harris-Dawson), SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR:

 

  1. AUTHORIZE the acceptance of $100,000 from the Los Angeles Dodgers as payment for the provision of City services that may be required to host the 2020 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and its related events in Los Angeles during All-Star Week.

  2. INSTRUCT the City Administrative Officer (CAO) and Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA), with the assistance of the City Attorney, to negotiate and execute a contract between the City and the Los Angeles Dodgers for City resources relative to the City hosting the 2020 All-Star Week.

Fiscal Impact Statement:  Neither the CAO nor the CLA has completed a financial analysis of this report.

 

Community Impact Statement:  None submitted.
