VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS
MAY 10, 1999
FOR THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES' GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Los Angeles City Clerk J. Michael Carey reminds Los Angeles residents to register to vote by Monday, May 10, 1999 in order to vote in the General Municipal Election on Tuesday, June 8, 1999. The election will be held in the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Community College District. To be eligible to register, residents must be citizens of the United States and 18 years old by election day. Registered voters who have moved or changed their names must re-register. We also remind citizens that Monday, May10, 1999 is the first day to apply for and vote by mail for the General Municipal Election.
Citizens can register or re-register to vote at the Office of the City Clerk, Election Division, 700 E. Temple, Room B-23, Los Angeles, CA 90012 or at the Los Angeles Register-Recorders Office, 12400 Imperial Hwy., Norwalk, CA 90650. They may also register by mail using registration forms that can be obtained from public counters in all City departments and Libraries, Los Angeles County Libraries, County Fire Stations, the Department of Motor Vehicles or by contacting the Los Angeles County Registrar - Recorder at (310) 462-2748.
