  • Kathleen Ruchalski, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology, UCLA on the importance of lung cancer screening accessibility in our community.

 

  • Dr. Sabrina Friedman, Clinical Director, and Dr. Suzette Cardin - UCLA School of Nursing Health Center at the Union Rescue Mission speaking on barriers to health access among the homeless population.

Substitute Motion (Jacquez - Vick) continue Resolution (Shannon - Sharp - Vick) to September 2016, and ensure community partners, utility entities, including the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Liberty Hill Foundation and South Coast Air Quality Management District and any other entity strictly impacted, are invited to attend and testify on the proposed 1,500-foot buffer zone on oil and gas drilling in residential neighborhoods.
